The Whole Story Between Celine Dion and Charice

On her Taking Chances Tour, Celine Dion invited Charice to sing a duet with her at Madison Square Garden on September 15, 2008. They sang "Because You Loved Me" to a sold out crown of 18,000 dedicated to Charice's mom. Before her last song, Celine introduced Charice and tried to calm the nervous Charice in a 7 minute monologue.

A Celine Dion fan, "clbmed02" from CelineDionForum posted, "Well, the NY crowd disappointed us. We were sitting on the South side and nobody got up even when Celine came around to our side. There were a bunch of old people behind us they told us to sit down at the intro video. Charice blew the crowd away. She received a long standing ovation and a louder applause than Celine did." Of course, this would never have happened without the graciousness of Celine Dion and Oprah. Celine has the humility that only the truly great can possess.
